Fleas, Groceries and Harper

This weekend was a pretty exciting weekend in Williamsburg.  The Brooklyn Flea market opened a few blocks away from our apartment.  Mike and I went to check it out around 3pm yesterday and it was PACKED.  There is a little write-up in the NY Post here.  Next time I go I’m going to have a plan of attack so I can see (and eat) everything I want.  I’m definitely going to hit up the Momofuku Milk Bar stand and pick up these babies.

blueberry & cream cookie

dried blueberries, milk crumbs, unbleached wheat flour, butter, brown sugar, sugar, dried blueberries, glucose syrup, eggs, milk powder, white chocolate, cornstarch, salt, leavening

compost cookie ®

pretzels, potato chips, coffee, oats, butterscotch, chocolate chips, butter, unbleached wheat flour, sugar, brown sugar, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, graham crumbs, pretzels, potato chips, glucose syrup, eggs, whole oats, cream, milk powder, coffee grounds, salt, leavening, vanilla

Then maybe over to the Re-Surface stand to look at their stuff.  These are pretty cool.

Second big thing that happened in Williamsburg, which I know you’ll be super excited about, is a new grocery store opened and it actually has proper lighting, a produce department that doesn’t smell like litter box and they have fat-free hazelnut Coffeemate (something I can NEVER find but always need!).  Its called Food Town and its next to our favorite bagel store.  Good to know for the next time you visit.  🙂

Lastly . . . look at this adorable picture of Harper that Shannon sent last night. She’s the cutest little girl ever, right?

Have a great day!
