April 7th Tid Bits

I have to work in CT on Thurs (Bagel Thurs in the NYC office, one of the best days of the week, I’ll miss it!) and my day will most likely be craziness so I’m going to update this tonight.  I’m on a half marathon schedule – it’s really hard to run 5 miles at 10pm at night (because your clients won’t leave you alone long enough to get to the gym!) and then get ready to go to bed.  Sounds like a good time to update the good ole blog.

I’ll start with a joke that was sent to me today:

Golf Date

He left home around 8:30 to play golf with his friends. On the way out the door, he answered his wife’s “What time will you be home?? question with “Probably around 1:30. I’ll have lunch at the club.”

1:30 came and went, 3:00 passed, 6:15, still not home. Finally at about 7:00 he rolls into the driveway, leaves his clubs in the garage, and presents his wife with a pizza, and begins the apologetic story:

“We finished our game about 11:30, had lunch and I started home, when alongside the road I saw this attractive girl with a flat tire on her car. I stopped to help, got the tire changed, and looked around for a place to wash my hands. She offered money, but I refused, so she suggested that I at least allow her to buy me a beer. She said ‘There’s a tavern just up the road, and they have a restroom, so you can clean up a bit.’ I agreed to stop, we had a beer, then another beer, then a couple more, and I realized that this girl was not only pretty, she was very friendly, and a good companion to spend time with. Before I knew it, we were in the motel next door having sex. And that is why I am so late getting home.”

His wife looked him right in the eye and said, “Don’t bullshit me — you played 36 holes, didn’t you?

haha 🙂

Secondly, I got new glasses, do you like?

Speaking of glasses . . . reminded me that I have to show you these.  They look awesome on you (even better than they did on Mike), especially with that outfit!

You should definitely make the first one your Facebook photo (not the second one of me in my PJs – there would be consequences for that as I’m sure you know) – rather than the one you have on there.  No pressure, just saying.  🙂

I’m meeting a few girls from my building for a margarita at Mole tomorrow night.  It’s that little Mexican restaurant that you can see from my living room window.  Its been so crowded all week (there was actually a line to get in this weekend!) so I’m pretty sure it will be good and may be our new hang-out.  I don’t know . . . a green market on Saturday’s, flea market on Sunday’s, a real grocery store and a good mexican place within a stones throw . . . not to mention a lot of new great friends I’ve made here . . . I’m beginning to think I never want to leave Williamsburg.

Have a great day!
