If you add the most beautiful day in New York EVER . . . to the The Setai Hotel . . . to a bottle of Dom Perignon
. . . to the best wedding photographer (Alison Conklin) . . . and a Maybach . . .
. . . to City Hall
. . . to dinner at Eleven Madison Park.
What do you get?
Katie and Doug’s wedding day!!
Again, sorry for the poor iPhone picture. Good news is that Alison will have the pictures up tomorrow . . . so more then! Can’t wait to see them and was so honored to help her get ready this morning. 🙂
I’m helping Marcee meet her quota for Stella & Dot this month. You can check her page out here. So far I bought a few things . . .
But still want a few more . . . 🙂
Can’t wait for PR to start!!!!!!!
How did I get so far behind on blogging? WE FINALLY HAD RAIN…AND THUNDERSTORMS and my computer was out of battery. So to catch you up on a few things:
I finished a book called Racing in the Rain. It was a quick read and not too impressive, but I didn’t have anything else to read.
I like Glee because when they sing songs on the show I actually understand the words.
Larry Crown (the new Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts movie) doesn’t open until Friday.
I will happily watch Million Dollar Decorator, since there is nothing else totally decadent on TV right now.
These are my recent F Jane blocks:
The final block in row – C
I took these pictures with my phone. Please tell your Aunt Kitty that sometimes old people can figure out technology!
And just in time for your Birthday…Project Runway starts (FINALLY) July 28th.
In a “Project Runway” first, during the premiere episode, 20 designers must go in front of Heidi, Michael, Nina and Tim to make a case why they deserve one of the 16 coveted spots this season. Once they are chosen, the 16 designers barely have a chance to celebrate before being awoken at the crack of dawn with one of the toughest first challenges in the series’ history.
How does this sound for a first challenge-make a pretty dress for Heidi. (I personally will fly to NYC, go to the Diner across the street from your previous apartment, and drink coffee til Tim appears and sit with him and calmly discuss that the lack of creative challenges is ruining the show. Then I will go to Mood, and convince Swatch to run off with any piece of boring fabric that the designers select.
And…I can’t wait to see my Sweetie!
Mike and I have a tradition – Mexican dinner on Mondays. It kind of gets you through the day knowing that good food is coming that night. Last night Vicki and Dave came over for dinner so I made shrimp tacos, instead of our usual chicken ones. Grilled shrimp tacos with homemade pico de gallo, guacamole, toasted corn tortillas, black beans, Skinny Girl Margaritas and Coronoas. Followed Gwyneth’s recipe (can be found here). It was super easy, pretty healthy and really yummy.
Vicki was in charge of dessert – of course she outdid herself. She made ice cream sandwiches out of freshly baked cookies and gelato (espresso cookie with sea salt caramel gelato, whole wheat dark chocolate chip cookies w/ sea salt caramel gelato, strawberry sorbet and sugar cane lime cookies with almonds).
I’m thinking tonight will be “Yoga and Salad Tuesday” to make up for it! 🙂
Have you heard of this show? Its my new favorite guilty pleasure – a spot that is usually taken by Dancing with the Stars or the Bachelorette (the bachelorette this season is driving me NUTS and I’m about 1 episode away from giving it up!). To make this show even better, my favorite blogger (Erin from Elements of Style) recently came up with a drinking game to go along with it. 🙂
A little excerpt from the first show this season is below.
I’m lucky enough to have a great boss . . . but I’m sure a lot of people can relate to this movie. Really want to see it – Jason Bateman is adorable.
