Weekend in NY

I can’t believe its Monday already.  Ugh.  It was a great weekend but looking forward to the upcoming one even more (more on that later this week).

Friday I spent the day in the Bronx and in CT with our client, The Chefs Warehouse.  Breakfast included freshly baked croissants and buttery smoked salmon so I started my Saturday morning with a run along Kent with Chet.  Then Katya, Unity and I headed out to Long Beach to meet up with Jeannine and Stacey (the bride to be!) for a little beach time.

Saturday night Katya, Unity and a few of their friends and I went to a Rooftop Films show in the lower east side.  The movie wasn’t very good but the atmosphere was!

Sunday I turbocleaned, picked Mike up from the airport and then headed to Sprain Lake Golf Course where we accidentally played target practice on some innocent golfers ( 😦 ) and only got 9 holes in.  They should call the course Goose Lake Golf Course . . . look at how many geese there are.  There were at least 10 on every hole and there were a bunch of babies too (which were adorable but, as well all know, pretty dangerous). (I did drive the green on this hole btw :))

Pretty trees all over the course.

Made Orecchiette with Turkey Sausage and Broccoli Rabe for dinner – YUM.  That’s about it!

Mike had a much more eventful weekend which included the MLG Event in Columbus . . . which was next to the Midwest Haunters Convention (there is such a thing – see below). Tornados, flooding, cut power, the Bruins overtime loss (boooo!).  At least no fights this time!  🙂

Have a great Monday!
