Bev: I’m thankful for Lindsey

For the ten years we’ve lived in Florida, Lindsey has been the person who has taken care of my spoiled animals when Neil and I were away from home.  When I first met her, I was a little nervous-she was 12!  ( And we are talking about 2-Putt!)  She came to our house, told 2-Putt that she was boss, and the rest is 10 years of animal history.  She started with Chip, 2Putt, Willie, and LC.  She says she thinks Bogie is the one who would actually bite.  I’m sure you won’t be surprised to hear that Eagle gave her trouble the first time she watched him.  He WOULD NOT go outside (and wouldn’t go inside.)  After 2 days she lassoed him and dragged him out of the house.  We’ve learned quite a bit about cows, horses, chickens, and rabbits.   One of the interesting things she bought with petsitting  money was a hairdryer for a cow, so he would be well coiffed for the Strawberry Festival.  Who knew?

This is Lindsey with Levi.  She shows him in obedience competitions. He is the dog that was attacked by a coyote.  He is recovered, except his hair is not quite as long as in the picture yet.

We’ve been lucky that Lindsey has been in our lives for 10 years.  In January she will be moving to Ft Meyers to continue her education.  She is halfway to a degree in education.  She hopes to teach agriculture, and she will be spectacular at it.

So today, I’m thankful for  Lindsey.  When she  watched my furkids, I could leave knowing that they were in very good hands.
