Dear Jane Returns

leave a comment »

I’m suffering from internet withdrawal.  A week without being able to blog!  During my beachside sewing retreat, I finished F. Jane block F-7.  I’M HALFWAY FINISHED THE BLOCKS!!!!! It doesn’t matter if the quilt is finished when your block pictures look like this:

These pictures show that “staging” makes a difference!  Aren’t they lovely?

We had chili and corn muffins today.   I use this easy recipe, the muffins are very moist and tasty.   (The original recipe adds 3/4 cup of shredded cheese.)

Corn Muffin Mix

Creamy Corn Muffins

(18-20 muffins)

 2 pkgs.”JIFFY” Corn Muffin Mix

2 eggs

1 can (12 oz.) cream style corn

1/4 cup oil

1/2 tsp. lemon juice

1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg

Preheat oven to 375°. Grease muffin pans or use paper liners.

Combine ingredients and blend well. Pour into prepared muffin cups, filling about 1/2 full. Bake 22-28 minutes. Let cool before removing from pan.

Right now I’m a Beverly sandwich – L.C . on one side, Eagle on the other, Bogie tickling my feet.  (2-Putt is guarding the foot of the bed.) I’m happy to be home.
