Daily Inspirations and Adventures

First Weekend In February

Ugh, still so defeated from our loss last night.  😦 Only thing getting me through today is knowing that I’ll be having Mexican food while watching the Bachelor with my boys tonight.

Anyway . . . we had a pretty nice weekend.  Friday night we watched Moneyball, which was EXCELLENT.  Saturday morning we went to the gym (did Minka Kelly’s workout) then went to Walter Foods for brunch with our mortgage broker, Mark, . . . then cleaned and made oatmeal raisin cookies and the Oreo truffles (YUM).  Then headed out to Long Island for Hutch and Jeff’s surprise 35th birthday.  It was a circus theme and you were supposed to wear a hat, which I unfortunately didn’t remember to do.

Holly and Craig (who are going with us on our big trip next month) looked so cute in their flower hats.  🙂

The place looked great.

And the boys were happy (and very surprised!).

Sunday morning Katya and I went to Soul Cycle where we got our butts whipped into shape (it was awesome and signed up for a class next Sunday!).  Then we got all dressed and ready for the big game.

Too bad Chet’s lucky jersey didn’t bring the Pats the luck they needed to win last night.  😦  It’s a tough day to be a Patriots fan living in NYC.  Oh well, there is always next year!
