(Quilt) Shop Hop

Twelve local quilt shops  are having a shop hop during the month of June.  My Tuesday sewing group visited six of the shops.  Each shop had a special project made from batik fabrics. We left Judy’s house at 8:15 and arrived at the first shop when it opened at 9:00. I liked the quilt that is the special project for the shop:

Of the six shops we toured we visited three shops that I had never been in before Tuesday.  Each shop sold a packet of three pieces of one color  of fabric.

All of the batik fabrics were on sale, so I added to my collection.  I’m using this style of fabric for my F. Jane quilt.

Most quilters have a particular style of fabric they like to use.  Every once in a while I fall in love with fabric that is completely opposite of my favorite bright fabrics.  These jumped into my hands, so I had to buy them.

I added to my Boston Terror collection:

 Chester made an appearance:

We returned to Judy’s at 5:00 after supporting our local quilt shops and having fun with friends.
