Daily Inspirations and Adventures

Two Weddings and a Fourth of July

We FINALLY found our camera cord so I could upload some pictures from this summer.

First, are pictures from July 4th week in Jamestown.  The first few pictures are of the adorable 4th of July parade held every year down the street from the house.  Its tiny and has a shoestring budget but I think that’s why I love it.  It’s just totally original Jamestown (not yuppie-town, which some parts have become).

Its tradition to decorate our bikes (or strollers, or skateboards) and ourselves in red, white and blue and ride down to observe.

Lunch at Dutch Harbor’s “The Shack” with Miss. H

Next up is Ben and Sarah’s wedding, which was the first weekend in August and was held at the Ft. Getty Pavilion.

Full shot, if you want to see the rest of my dress.

The original pavilion was destroyed by a hurricane last year.  This was one of the first events held in the brand new one – which was beautiful.  You can see the wood detailing in this pic.

Pretty wild flowers from the island.

Photobooth fun.

How some of them turned out. 🙂

Finally, there was Chris and Kristina’s wedding . . . which was the second weekend of August and was held at the Bridgeview Yacht Club in Long Island.  I didn’t take too many pictures. 😦

You know these two. 🙂

Lots of other really fun things to come this fall/winter including two trips to the Hamptons, an Outstanding in the Field dinner, two trips to San Diego, one to Palm Springs, (hopefully) a trip to the Rose Bowl, maybe a weekend in Chicago for the Ryder Cup and three weddings (including one in Mexico!!).  I’m glad we found the cord so I’ll be able to share those events here too. 🙂
