We had a great weekend in New York. Felt so good to be home.
On Friday we celebrated Dave’s birthday at a rooftop beer garden in Brooklyn (the weather has been aaaamazing – 70s and sunny. loving it!). I felt like a true Brooklyn-ite . . . riding my bike to and from the party. 🙂
On Saturday I got my hair done on the Upper East Side (they always have orchids at each station – so pretty) . . .
Then went to Lucy’s bridal shower out on Long Island . . .
Followed by a pre-show dinner at Bar Frites . . .
Followed by the Florence + the Machine show (I seriously don’t have words to describe how incredible the show was). This is someone elses picture of the show – I couldn’t get a good shot. At one point she asked for people to get up on their friend’s shoulders . . . and as you can see . . . people did it!
Sunday started off like this . . .
Reading the New York Times on our outdoor lounger with my boys, coffee and breakfast (which was originally just a peanut butter and jelly roll up and fruit – but Mike was bad an added a Dough doughnut and chocolate croissant to the mix!) is something I’ve wanted to do since we moved in, in May. I enjoyed every moment.
We also rode our bikes around the neighborhood (including a stop at Crest Hardware – which you should go to the next time you’re in town. they have an adorable lawn and garden area which includes a little home for Franklin . . . their little piggy) . . . and went to the gym and Dumont Burger and to the IMAX on the Upper West Side to see Dark Knight (SOOOOOO good).
