In time for Easter, I finished quilting this cute quilt made by Sandi P. The bunnies were appliqued, then Sandi embroidered an outline around the bunny features. The “fill” ( the background stitching) was a technique called McTavishing.I really liked the pretty, flower and plaid fabrics Sandi used for the rabbits.
The center was surrounded by log cabin blocks. I quilted straight lines, swirls, and feathers.I really admire the way Sandi combined different styles of fabric. Sandi asked me to quilt feathers, so I did! (They are the design I stitched in the border.) I feathered… and feathered…. and feathered some more!Beautiful quilt, wouldn’t you agree?
Congrats on all the little ones joining your life. I can’t believe that Julian is 6 months already!
