Happy Halloween and Tuesday Update
One of my favorite holidays because it involves candy, cute kids, and lots of smiling happy people! I am expecting as many children here as we had in our old house, although I doubt we will see any horses or tractors.
My sewing group has been busy. Jayne finished this piece which matches a king size quilt she recently made.
These candle mats were made for the Quilt Show Boutique .
Debbie themed her’s for St Patrick’s Day. Nancy is making Bonnie Hunter’s Little Monkey’s. This block is called Monkey Wrench, it finished at 4″. (I may have made up the name and the size of this block, but it is cute!) Another cute variation: Pat finished a wall hanging made from one of the blocks from our Basket quilt. Just gorgeous, Pat! Claudia organized the creation of this wall hanging for Judy’s birthday. She is such a wonderful hostess, she and Mike always provide delicious coffee for us. (The middle cup says Thanks a latte.) Judy finished this, her modern quilt. I can’t wait to see what it looks like quilted. This is a Moda bakeshop pattern called Cross Terrain. Claudia and Nancy taught a workshop to the guild. This is Judy’s version. (Thanks to Debbie for correcting the source of this pattern.)
Judy has been busy. This is part of a Christmas Tree skirt. Cathy made a wall hanging that I think is a picture of what my sewing “studio” looks like. I hope Julian enjoys Halloween! Have a great weekend.
